Mobiles and other items

You are not allowed to carry mobiles, cameras or other electronic items inside the temple. There is a strict security check at the entrance were your bags can be subjected to x-ray checking. Also, you cannot carry any footwear inside the temple. However socks are usually allowed in case you have health problems. You can deposit your mobile and other items including footwear at counters designated for this purpose before entering the temple.

Temple Timings

The temple normally opens around 5:00 a.m. in the morning. Darshan is allowed except during Pooja Times. The temple closes around 12:30 p.m. for an afternoon break.

In the evening the temple opens around 4 PM and darshan is allowed from 4:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.

From the counters inside the temple you can purchase tickets for special Darshan. You can use the Rs 100 ticket for Darshan inside both Meenakshi and Sundareswaran Temple.
